I have helped loved ones call insurance companies to find out services and treatments that are covered. I have stayed with loved ones in the hospital to make sure they are receiving the treatments they need. I have also helped educate doctors on illnesses my loved ones have and pick up their prescriptions.

Initially, I started advocating a few years after being diagnosed with endometriosis. A doctor suggested that I go to pelvic floor physical therapy and I had never heard of it. I thought if I hadn't heard of it, there could be others with endometriosis and other pelvic pain conditions that had also never heard of it. That led me to write my first book "Living with Endometriosis". Along with publishing books, I have also written articles for Hormones Matter, The Mighty, Thought Catalog, Medium, Get Fit Now, and 30 Seconds and have been featured in the media. My mom has alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency and there's not a lot of information readily available for patients. Also, in our experience, many doctors aren't familiar with alpha-1. It's important that people talk about chronic illnesses and that's why I decided to further my career to becoming a BCPA. 

I was a pharmacy technician for four years while attending an undergraduate program. Currently, I am attending the University of Oklahoma's Master of Legal Studies in Health Care Law and will graduate in August 2022.
