How I Can Help
Hello, I'm a dedicated Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Educator with over two decades of experience in the healthcare field. My journey in health care began at a young age, first as a hospital volunteer and then evolving through roles as a respiratory therapist and rehabilitation nurse. This path has not just been a career, but a calling – one that has allowed me to touch the lives of individuals, families, and communities in profound ways.

What I Offer:
• Personal Health Advocacy: Navigating the healthcare system can be overwhelming. I provide personalized support both live and virtually. These may include accompanying you to medical appointments, guiding you through tests, and advocating for you in the hospital, ensuring you never feel alone in your health journey.
• Tailored Educational Support: Knowledge is power, especially when it comes to health. I offer one-on-one education and support, tailored to your unique health situation, helping you and your loved ones understand diagnoses, treatments, and care plans.
• Community and Family Engagement: My approach is holistic – supporting not just patients, but their families and communities, fostering environments that promote health and well-being.

My Commitment to You:
Healthcare is more than just treating symptoms; it's about understanding the person behind the patient. I believe in building relationships based on trust, empathy, and respect. My goal is to empower you with knowledge and support, helping you ask the right questions and find the right answers. If you're uncertain about your healthcare journey, I'm here to help illuminate the path forward.

Together, we can navigate the complexities of the healthcare system and work towards a healthier, more informed future. I'm honored to be a part of your journey and look forward to the opportunity to support you and your loved ones.

Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
My journey into patient advocacy began not in a moment, but through a series of profound experiences that have deeply shaped my understanding and approach to healthcare. As a young volunteer in a local hospital, I was first introduced to the world of patient care, witnessing the struggles, fears, and hopes of patients and their families. This early exposure planted a seed of compassion and a desire to make a tangible difference in people's lives.

My career path, from a respiratory therapist to a rehabilitation nurse, and eventually a nurse practitioner and educator, has been a journey of continuous learning and personal growth. Each role offered unique insights into the patient experience, highlighting the challenges they face in navigating the complex healthcare landscape. But it was my personal encounters, particularly watching close friends and family navigate their own health crises, that truly illuminated the critical need for dedicated advocacy and support.

I remember vividly the day I sat beside a dear friend, struggling to understand a daunting diagnosis, feeling overwhelmed and lost in medical jargon and decisions. It was a pivotal moment, a realization that my professional skills could and should extend beyond traditional roles to meet individuals at their most vulnerable points, offering guidance, clarity, and hope.

This blend of personal and professional experiences has inspired me to dedicate myself to patient advocacy. I've seen firsthand how essential it is to have a knowledgeable, compassionate ally in the healthcare system – someone to listen, explain, and stand firm in ensuring the best possible care and outcomes. My mission is to be that ally, to bridge the gap between medical complexity and patient understanding, ensuring that no one feels alone or uninformed in their health journey.

In this role, I am more than a healthcare provider; I am a listener, a guide, and a steadfast supporter. This is not just my profession; it is my passion and my commitment to every individual I have the privilege to assist.
