Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
Since I was a young child, I have always been a caregiver. I chose to be a combat medic, knowing I would be helping others and have made a career out of advocating for the greater good of society as an executive in non-profit and healthcare administration with over 20 years experience. I have also spent a fair amount of time taking care of and advocating for both my parents (of blessed memory) as they aged and dealt with dialysis, wound rehab, sepsis and more.

I am also a survivor of medical errors when a surgeon, after a routine operation, dismissed both my and my families' concerns that something was not right during recovery. Thankfully my wife, a physician and gifted diagnostician arranged for a second opinion and I was hospitalized immediately for raging sepsis. I am lucky to be alive today, thanks to MY advocate and now make it my commitment to help ensure, to the best of my ability, nothing like this happen again - unnecessarily.
